New York City – January 26, 2023 – **Lex.LGBT** (pw: Lex2023&Webflow) – New year, new look, new direction! Lex is the app for finding LGBTQ+ friends & queer community.
With 1 in 5 Gen Z adults (*Gallup,* 2022) identifying as LGBTQ+, Lex is revealing a rebrand and features to set it on course to be the #1 app for LGBTQ+ friends & community. Since our crowd-funded MVP release Lex has evolved from a dating app to a vibrant social platform.
Lex tapped the NYC creative agency &Walsh, founded by Jessica Walsh, to work closely with the team on the new look of Lex. The brand was directed by three concepts: Queer Playground, Ever-Growing, Raw-Edge. Lex makes space for LGBTQ+ people to find joy and be their unapologetic self. Lex worked with &Walsh to ensure accessibly and gathered feedback from Lexers throughout the design process. On January 26th Lex will drop our rebrand in App Store, Google Play and across all social platforms.

Lex wedged into the market as a lo-fi, text-based dating app inspired by newspaper personal ads, designed to focus on deeper connection. As the Lex fanbase grew, so did our place in people’s lives. We observed that community members were using Lex to find local friends, organize clubs, teams, and groups. To dive deeper, we went to the people we serve and spoke with thousands of Lexers to pinpoint their exact needs and how we could build to meet them.
